Ghost costume
Take an old white sheet and cut out small holes for eyes. Sew up a smile or you can cut it too. Put lashes and eye shadows around the eyes. Put some lipstick for the mouth and a little color on the cheeks. And the ghost will be get dressed a little.
Clown Costume
You can use sweet clothes that are too big or clothes in funny colors. Decorate the pants and shirt with fabric patches or with markers. Choose proper hat, funny color wig and make-up. And a tie with comical stamps will be perfect addition to your costume.
Pirate costume
To look like real pirate dress your child with white old shirt could cut slits into the sleeves to give it a ragged look. Use an old coat as a vest. Just cut the sleeves. Tie a wide belt and do not forget the paper hat, eye patch and the plastic sword. For even more realistic look add a pirate hook and the telescope.
Prisoner costume
Find in your wardrobe black and white striped trousers and shirt. Make a proper paper hat.
Angel costume
You need white or bright color long dress. And you also will need a halo. If you do not want to spend extra money then you can make your own. Make wire into a ring and then cover it with thin foil, golden and silver flowers or just spray it. Make your wings from cardboard. Paint them in white and attach to the dress.
Witch costume
You need a black long dress a pair of stripped tights and black tall hat.
You can make your own paper from contraction paper and then color it in black. If you have a short broom take it with you and attach a toy cat to it.
